One Campaign, Two Engines

Over the course of 9 shooting days and with a team of more than 260 creatives, MINI’s global "Grab the Corners" campaign came to life at full scale.MINI’s global "Grab the Corners" campaign for the John Cooper Works models highlights the legacy, agility and thrill of driving a MINI JCW.

Shot entirely in Mexico City, the project consisted of both a high-octane commercial and a stylized photo campaign, executed in parallel with distinct creative teams. Habitant delivered on both fronts—Film and Photo Services—ensuring absolute precision in logistics, talent handling and on-set production.

FILM — A Citywide Chase in Motion

Directed by Felix Brady for Stink, the commercial was built around MINI’s signature driving dynamics—tight turns, urban agility and a cinematic sense of speed. Brady, known for his work blending tech and storytelling, brought that vision to the streets, tunnels and rooftops of Mexico City.

With 9 shoot days and a crew of over 260 creative professionals, the film production was a technical and logistical feat. Habitant’s Film Services unit orchestrated a production that involved stunt drivers, precision rigs, camera cars and large-scale coordination over multiple days and night shoots. The result is a fast-paced visual that channels MINI’s performance with a sharp visual identity. the team also included professional precision driver Isabelle Andrade, whose skill behind the wheel brought the chase to life with control and style.

PHOTO — Stillness, Styled with Speed

Simultaneously, Alex Rank and Willson Project led the photography campaign, focusing on bold, urban visuals that echo the motion of the film in striking stills. The imagery captures both the design of the MINI JCW and the lifestyle energy around it.

With a separate crew, stylists and creative leadership, Habitant’s Photo Services unit managed location transitions, lighting, talent coordination and art direction, maintaining a visual cohesion across the entire campaign.

Production in Sync

Executing both the film and photo sides of “Grab the Corners” required an agile, experienced team. Habitant’s ability to manage two distinct productions in tandem—each with its own demands—highlighted the strength of its cross-functional coordination, creative alignment and commitment to delivering at scale.
