Whispers of Nightfall
Along the Oaxacan Coast.

A Night in Purple

Set against the dark, hypnotic coastlines of Puerto Escondido, Versace’s Dylan Purple campaign radiates sensuality and precision. Directed by Gordon Von Steiner—whose signature style has defined campaigns for Hermès, Dior, Jacquemus and Louis Vuitton—and lensed in 16mm by Emmy-nominated Stuart Winecoff, the film captures a dreamlike night world—where shadows, water and skin interact with effortless intention.

Photographed by fashion’s visual poet Carlijn Jacobs, the stills deliver iconic energy with tactile elegance. Starring Iris Law and Kit Butler and styled by Allegra Versace, the campaign explores the ephemeral moment where scent, sensation and image collide.

 Fashion After Dark

Half of the production took place under moonlight—on sand, water and cliffs—with custom crane rigs, underwater housing and analog and digital camera systems operating in sync. Shot across several days, the work required delicate coordination, technical fluency and artistic trust.

Puerto Escondido—raw, isolated and breathtaking—became the canvas. With over 150 people on set and most of the equipment brought from Mexico City, Habitant delivered seamless support to meet the ambitious creative vision.

Elegance in Motion

With creative direction by Kevin Tekinel and Charles Levai of Maybe and production design by Monique Flores, every element of the Dylan Purple campaign was sculpted to feel immersive and elevated. More than a fragrance ad, it is a visual poem set in motion.
